ECAS (El Salvadorian Adventist Training School) is an elementary and secondary school located in San Juan Opico, El Salvador, founded in 1983. It stands as a testament to the pioneering efforts of early SDA missionaries, Orley and Lilian Ford, who brought the SDA message to El Salvador in the 1940s. The school has consistently benefited from volunteer efforts over the years to develop its infrastructure, including schoolhouses, dormitories, a cafeteria, and faculty housing.

In 2017, a group of five Midwest SDA churches, united as “Reach Out Ministries,” partnered with ECAS to renovate the deteriorated girls’ dorm. This collaboration soon sparked discussions about a greater need: establishing a training school for SDA pastors within El Salvador, given the significant cost of training abroad.

In 2020, groundbreaking for the Orley Ford Adventist University marked a significant step forward, though initial plans for U.S. volunteer support were paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Plans resumed in 2021, and it was during a site visit in January of that year that Master’s Builders, Inc. (MBI) became involved. MBI played a crucial role by providing the full scope of architectural drawings, structural engineering, and construction project management for the college buildings. Additionally, MBI designed the sanitary infrastructure for the entire campus and engineered two more facilities: an outdoor dining and meeting Pavilion and a Dorming Facility for visiting groups using the campus for ministerial and training retreats. Through these services, Master’s Builders, Inc. is directly supporting ECAS’s mission to provide comprehensive Adventist education and vital pastoral training in El Salvador.
